Drew Whiting will be performing Like A Fruit Basket, for tenor sax and electronics, at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh On September 14, 2018. The piece was composed for Drew and was premiered at this year’s SPLICE Festival. Thanks Drew!
Mike will present and diffuse electroacoustic works by South African composers on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Fenway Center at Northeastern University. The concert includes works by Njabulo Phungula, Cara Stacy, Pierre-Henri Wicomb, Ulrich Suesse, Meryl van Noie, Miles Warrington, Dimitri Voudouris, Jürgen Braununger, Theo Herbst, and Neo Muyanga. The event is in collaboration with Prof. Dennis Miller and the Department of Music at Northeastern University.
Mike has been invited to give a concert and masterclass at the University of Florida’s Contemporary Music Festival in Gainesville on April 7. He will be performing his own works Hotbird and Sarteano l’estate, plus Fausto Romitelli’s Trash TV Trance.
