Polyrhythmic Modulation Studies, for stereo sound projection (1998)

The Polyrhythmic Modulation Studies is a collection of short works concerned with the management of multiple voices in different tempi. The tempi are often in transition, in effect creating modulations through a sequence of polyrhythmic ratios, with re-syncing of the voices an important aspect of these studies. Temporal transitions were calculated in software that I developed as part of my Master’s Thesis at Dartmouth College. The works were synthesized using CSound.
